Bereavement Support through Counselling & Psychotherapy

We all need support at pivotal points in our lives whereby our daily routines are significantly changed, e.g. Divorce, Redundancy, Bereavement, Depression or Family and Relationship issues.

Bereavement can be a painful time and often other problems may occur such as depression or destructive patterns of behaviour, such as not sleeping, or lacking motivation to food shop, cook and eat. All very basic routine activities, but if neglected can soon result in ill health.

At Cheshire Therapy we can help you overcome these painful feelings of loss through effective Counselling and Psychotherapy.

How can Counselling Help?

When we love someone and they die, it can feel devastating and will often be extremely difficult to deal with. Many people experience different emotions whilst grieving and some people may find that counselling or psychotherapy will help considerably with these difficult emotions. There are several symptoms to look out for which counselling may help with:

    • Symptoms of anxiety may be most prominent
    • Depression will often occur.
    • Wide mood swings.
    • Physical ailments such as headaches, difficulty sleeping etc.

Extensive avoidance of painful feelings and of reminders of the person who has died is not healthy. Trained counsellors at Cheshire Therapy can help you confront these painful emotions and work towards dealing with the death of a loved one.
